HOLLY & MISTLETOE - SELLING

We will again be conducting three Holly Sales this year from the new site just 4 miles west of Tenbury Wells at The Beech, Haynall Lane, Little Hereford, Nr Ludlow, SY8 4BG. Location Map

The Sale dates and times are as follows:-

Christmas Trees at 1:00pm approx

The site will be open for the reception of entries of holly, mistletoe, wreath and trees on Sundays between 10.00am and 4.00pm and Mondays between 8.00am and 4.00pm.

Wreaths only may be delivered on Tuesdays from 8.00am to 9.00am.

Christmas Tree entries must be pre-booked by 12 noon on the preceding Friday and must be delivered no later than 4.00pm on Mondays. Poor quality trees and tops will not be accepted for sale, we have buyers for all types and sizes as long as the trees are of an acceptable standard.

The terms under which Nick Champion Auctioneers offer Holly, Mistletoe, Wreaths and Christmas Trees for sale by public auction on behalf of Vendors on Tuesdays 30th November and 7th and 14th December 2010 are as follows:-

1. Pre-Entry:- Christmas Trees must be pre-entered by 12 noon on Friday preceding the sale.
   
   
2. Delivery:- Holly and Mistletoe & Trees - Sundays 10.00am to 4.00pm, Mondays 8.00am to 4.00pm, Wreaths - Mondays 8.00am to 4.00pm and Tuesdays 8.00am to 9.00am
   
   
3. Unloading/Lotting:- All entries to be unloaded by Vendors as directed by Auctioneer's staff. All lots must be labelled with: - Vendors name, Address, Postcode, Quantity and Description. Labels are supplied by the Auctioneers. All counts must be guaranteed by the vendors and agreed with the Auctioneers.
   
   Acceptance for Sale:- The Auctioneers will refuse entry to any lots deemed unfit for sale. Only goodquality trees will be accepted and all trees must comply with the Restrictions and Movement of Spruce Wood Order 1982 which prohibits the sale of trees over 10 feet (3m) in height or 3 inches (75mm) in trunk diameter or any trees in unpeeled spruce blocks.
   
   
4. Commission:
   Wreaths:- 15% inclusive of VAT with a minimum charge the greater of 30p per wreath or £3 per lot.
   Holly and Mistletoe: - 15% inclusive of VAT with a minimum charge of £2 per lot.
   Christmas Trees: - 11.75% inclusive of VAT with a minimum charge of 50p per tree.
   All minimum charges also apply to unsold lots.
   
   
5. Sale Proceeds
   Wreaths:- Available for collection from 12 noon on sale day. There after by post within 15 working days.
   Holly and Mistletoe: - Available for collection from 1.00pm on Sale day. There after by post within 15 working days.
   Christmas Trees: - By post within 15 working days and subject to removal of unsold lots.
   
   
6. General Conditions of Sale
   i) Liability - Holly, Mistletoe, Wreaths and Trees, etc. remain the property of the vendor until the fall of the hammer, there after they become the responsibility of the purchaser. The Auctioneers will not be responsible for any damage or loss prior to and after sale.
   
   ii) Reserves - All Holly, Mistletoe, Wreaths and Trees, etc will be deemed unreserved unless the vendor submits a reserve in writing prior to sale.
   
   iii) Unsold Lots - Must be removed on sale day.
   
   iv) VAT - Registered Vendors - must supply their VAT number prior to the sale and VAT will be added to the bid price.
   
   Non Registered Vendors - must sign a declaration to that effect prior to the sale and goods will be sold under the Auctioneers Margin Scheme rules.
   
   v) Settlement - The Auctioneers retain the right to withhold payment until the vendor has abided by the general and special conditions of sale to the Auctioneers satisfaction.
